Eligibility
Who is eligible?
- Anyone who submits an application must reside in northern Ontario within Tbaytel’s serving territory and be 18 years of age or older.
- Those under the age of majority must have their ideas approved, endorsed and submitted by a responsible adult.
- Tbaytel employees, dealers and contractors are not eligible to submit an application for funding.
Who is not eligible
- For-profit groups, committees, organizations or businesses
- Political parties
- Individuals or individual families who require financial support for personal purposes
- Religious groups or organizations
- Universities or colleges or organizations, associations or clubs affiliated with a registered college or university
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Projects that take place outside of Tbaytel’s serving territory or projects where the resulting activities benefits individuals outside of Tbaytel’s serving territory
- Projects that seek support solely for salaries and wages
- Sponsorship, advertising and promotional costs that makes up 100% of the requested funding amount (and will primarily generate financial returns)
- Activities that will result in a negative impact to the environment or can potentially harm the Tbaytel brand

Selection criteria
- The Selection Committee reviews all submissions and scores each project.
- Each criterion is scored from 1 to 5.
- Judging criteria include Impact, Beneficiaries, Feasibility, and Budget.
- Projects with the top scores are awarded funding.
How to apply
- Visit tbaytelforgood.wetransfer.com.
- Upload your project submission form and your video file.
- Enter tbaytelforgood@tbaytel.com in the Upload to field if it is not automatically populated.
- Enter the email address used on your Tbaytel for Good application form.
- Enter your project name in the Title field and “Community Fund submission” in the Message field.
- Click “Transfer” and complete the validation code if prompted.
Processing and Agreement
- The Selection Committee reviews all submissions and scores each project.
- The fund will be awarded to those projects with the top scores.
- After a project is approved for funding, a Funding Agreement is sent to the successful Applicant.
- Once the Funding Agreement has been signed by someone with the legal authority to bind the project or organization and returned to Tbaytel, the total funding amount will be paid, provided any special conditions have been met.
- All funding recipients are required to report on the work for which they receive funding.
Additional information
- The project submission form must include a brief project description, timeline and schedule, and a complete budget breakdown.
- A recorded video no more than 60 seconds in length must be uploaded.
- By submitting an application, individuals agree to the Terms & Conditions of the Tbaytel for Good Community Fund and to have their project information, content and imagery used for Tbaytel marketing and promotional purposes.
