Who is eligible?

  • Women with bleeding disorders
  • Active volunteers or employees of WFH member organizations
  • Active volunteers or employees of regional committees of WFH member organizations

Who is not eligible

  • Applicants who have already received a Susan Skinner Memorial Fund scholarship or a WFH Youth Fellowship

Eligible expenses

  • Round-trip economy airfare
  • Airport-to-hotel and hotel-to-airport transfers, and daily hotel-to-congress centre transfers when applicable
  • Shared hotel accommodation and daily meals
  • WFH World Congress registration

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Transport between the recipient’s home and the local airport
  • Medical and travel insurance
  • Vaccination costs
  • Hotel incidentals, including baggage handling, Internet, calls, laundry, bottled water, room service, minibar, or video on demand; and headsets to access online interpretation services
  • Early arrival or late departure costs, unless authorized by the WFH

Processing and Agreement

  • Applicants must take part in a virtual interview in English with the selection committee.
  • If selected, laureates must participate in all scheduled sessions, events, and activities.
  • Laureates must document their experience and submit a final report with photos and videos.
  • Laureates must complete an online questionnaire after their experience.
  • Laureates must serve as a mentor at least once and support future participants.
