Selection criteria

  • Priority is given to organizations with limited access to traditional funding because of their size, community anchoring, innovative approach, or politically sensitive issues.
  • Special attention is given to emerging or grassroots groups, organizations without mission funding, and collective or informal initiatives, with a partner fiduciary if required.

How to apply

  • Step 1: Prepare initial submission
    • Send a project description in the format you choose.
    • Include the requested amount, latest financial statements, program category, and number of years requested.
  • Step 2: Submit to Mission inclusion
    • Send the documentation to Mission inclusion for Phase 1 review.
    • You may include your CRA registration number if available.
  • Step 3: Phase 1 review
    • Mission inclusion reviews the proposal and informs you whether it moves to Phase 2.
  • Step 4: Complete the full application if invited
    • If selected, submit the complete file for Phase 2 following the instructions provided by Mission inclusion.

Processing and Agreement

  • Phase 1 review of the project concept, realism, coherence, and involvement of vulnerable or marginalized people.
  • Applicants are informed whether their project is selected for Phase 2.
  • Phase 2 review of governance, long-term vision, financial aspects, and alignment with the issues raised.
  • Applications are reviewed by Mission inclusion before a final response is given.

Additional information

  • Only one project may be submitted per 12-month period.
  • Applicants are informed after Phase 1 whether they are invited to Phase 2.
  • The program is currently limited by available funding.
