- The researcher’s interest in Québec and their university career, and the quality of the theoretical approach and the pursued objectives.
- The justification for the grant application, the rigor of the proposed budget, the feasibility of the timeline and work program, the contribution of the partner(s), and the expected visibility, promotion, results, and enhancement of Québec’s image in the United States and abroad.
Processing and Agreement
- For projects of CAD $10,000 or more, a grant agreement must be signed between the parties.
- For all other projects, the partner must sign a letter of agreement and return it to the Québec office in their territory.
- The Québec office in the partner’s territory sends the first installment after receiving the letter of agreement.
- The second installment is released after receipt of the mid-term report.
- Failure to provide the mid-term report by the agreed date may cancel the second installment.
