Overview
The Support for Commercial Arteries — Component 1: Support for Urban Revitalization Projects provides non-repayable funding of up to $25,000 per organization, with higher amounts for joint applications. The program aims to facilitate public, free urban animation or other initiatives that drive commercial sector traffic within the agglomeration of Québec.
Financing terms and conditions
- Non-repayable contribution covering up to 65% of the total project cost, to a maximum of $25,000 per applying association or non-profit organization (OBNL).
- If multiple associations or OBNLs jointly submit a project, the maximum is $25,000 per eligible participant, aggregated accordingly.
- Total combined municipal, provincial, and federal aid for a project cannot exceed 80% of its total cost.
- For commercial artery illumination projects, the maximum grant is $50,000 and cannot surpass 80% of the total project cost.
- If structural analysis is required for installations on municipal street furniture, the grant may be increased by $5,000.

Eligibility
- The applicant must be a Business Development Corporation (SDC) located within the agglomeration of Québec.
- Business associations representing a minimum of fifteen (15) businesses on the same commercial artery or sector within the agglomeration of Québec are eligible.
- Groups of business associations and/or SDCs can apply together.
- Non-profit organizations operating in commercial arteries without a business association are eligible.
- The project must serve the agglomeration of Québec (Québec City, Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures, or L’Ancienne-Lorette) and target urban revitalization or activities that increase foot traffic in the commercial sector.
Who is eligible?
- Business development corporations located within the agglomeration of Québec
- Associations of business people located within the agglomeration of Québec, representing at least fifteen (15) businesses on the same commercial artery or sector
- Groups of business associations and/or business development corporations
- Non-profit organizations operating in commercial arteries lacking a business association
Who is not eligible
- Businesses or organizations that are not commercial development corporations, business associations, or non-profit organizations located within the Québec agglomeration.
- Groups proposing projects in the territory of another business association without the agreement of that association.
- Projects intended to directly compete with events or activities on another commercial artery.
- Organizations proposing projects whose activities are deemed controversial by authorities or would risk the reputation of the Ville de Québec.
