Who is eligible?

  • Business associations, chambers of commerce, and condominium associations
  • Organizations providing provincial services such as schools, colleges, universities, hospitals, and regional health authorities
  • Local governments and regional districts

Eligible expenses

  • Staff salaries and employment-related costs
  • Contractors and professional service fees
  • Materials and supplies
  • Equipment, travel, training, events, rent, and administration
  • Gift cards, honorariums, and transit passes

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Expenses incurred before April 1, 2025 or after June 30, 2027
  • Land or building purchases, real estate fees, and related costs
  • Profit-making, fundraising, political, or religious activities
  • Expenses already covered by another funding source
  • Activities outside Canada or outside the Sunshine Coast, British Columbia

  • Step 3: Submit online
    • Create an account or log in to the online portal.
    • Complete and submit the application through the portal.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications from eligible organizations are reviewed by a local Ad Hoc Grants Committee.
  • The committee uses a reviewer rubric to make funding recommendations to the Board of Directors.
  • Applicants are notified of the outcome no later than February 28, 2025.
  • Approved organizations must sign a funding agreement before receiving payment.

Additional information

  • Approved organizations must complete an interim check-in at the halfway point of the project.
  • The remaining 50% of funding is paid after the interim check-in.
  • A funding agreement must be signed before funding is released.
  • All applications must be submitted through the online portal.
