Who is eligible?
- Canadian municipal governments.
- Municipal partners such as private sector entities, municipally owned corporations, regional/provincial/territorial organizations, NGOs, non-profits, and research institutes.
- Indigenous communities partnering with a Canadian municipality or under a shared service agreement.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- The transition to vehicles other than ZEVs, or the conversion/upgrade of internal combustion engine vehicles
- The acquisition and installation of a network of public charging stations that is not primarily intended for the municipal or public transit fleet
- The construction of new maintenance or operations facilities
- Office space, supplies and overhead incurred in the normal course of business
- All other costs incurred before the date the application is received, including any stakeholder commitment or any research intended to support drafting the full application or completing the project brief
