How to apply

  • Step 1: Prepare your application
    • Complete the biography.
    • Write the 500-word essay or prepare the video clip/TikTok.
    • Complete the Participant Information Form, Youth Survey, and video release waiver.
  • Step 2: Collect supporting documents
    • Obtain a school verification letter from an authorized school official.
    • Gather the support letter required for the application.
  • Step 3: Submit the application
    • Email or deliver the complete package to Misty Castle at Shooniyaa Wa-Biitong in Kenora, Ontario.
    • Submit before the deadline.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed after submission and final selections are made.
  • Selected applicants receive an invitation with event details after final selections.
  • Student achievers must attend a Shooniyaa Wa-Biitong sponsored event.

Additional information

  • Up to 12 entries will be selected.
  • A sponsored event will be held for selected student achievers.
  • The program theme for 2023/24 is Wellness (Minoyawin).
