Overview
Strive 4 Work (EmployAbilities) supports adults with disabilities, mental health barriers, or medical conditions in Edmonton by providing career training and work experience to help participants move into employment, including a living allowance of up to $15/hour during the 10 weeks of in-person skills training. Who is eligible?
- Adults 18+ currently living in Edmonton and surrounding areas
- Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or persons granted refugee status in Canada
- Individuals legally entitled to work in Canada
- Individuals who self-identify as having a permanent or recurring physical, mental, neurodevelopmental, or other disability that restricts daily activities
- Individuals who require assistance to prepare for, obtain and keep employment or self-employment, and are ready, willing and able to work full- or part-time
