Who is eligible?
- Organizations legally incorporated in Canada
- Indigenous organizations in Canada
- Experienced Canadian organizations working in international development
Who is not eligible
- Organizations not legally incorporated in Canada
- Organizations without a Canada Revenue Agency business number
- Organizations that do not meet the required experience
- Non-signatory partners cannot be lead applicants
Eligible geographic areas
- Two or more ODA-eligible countries in the Indo-Pacific region
Selection criteria
- Alignment with the Call objectives and Canada’s Feminist International Assistance Policy
- Strength of the development challenge and solution
- Organization capacity and relevant recent experience
- Integration of gender equality, human rights, and environmental sustainability
- Localization, partnerships, and sustainability of results
How to apply
- Step 1: Register in Partners@International
- Create or confirm your organization profile in the portal.
- Ensure all signatory organizations are registered.
- Step 2: Prepare the application package
- Complete the concept note and Logic Model forms.
- Gather the required supporting documents.
- Step 3: Submit through the portal
- Upload all documents in Partners@International.
- Validate the forms and submit before the deadline.
- Step 4: Await review and follow-up
- Global Affairs Canada will review the concept note.
- Selected applicants may be invited to a full proposal stage.
Processing and Agreement
- Concept notes are reviewed first for eligibility and fit with the Call.
- Only a limited number of applicants are invited to submit a full proposal.
- Invited applicants are informed whether funding will be awarded after full proposal assessment.
- Funding decisions are based on merit and do not guarantee approval.
Additional information
- Only one concept note may be submitted per signatory.
- Invited applicants will have approximately eight weeks to submit a full proposal.
- Projects are expected to include local partners and a participatory approach.
- Global Affairs Canada may review prior performance and fiduciary risk.
