Strategic Opportunity Grants updated
Strategic Opportunity Grants now support three streams — Investigate, Develop, and Test — instead of the previous two-category structure, with stream funding of up to $5,000, $10,000, and $15,000. The eligibility rules now require an operating budget of less than $2,000,000, completion of any outstanding or overdue reports, and applications are due by 4 p.m. on the last day of each month. The application instructions were also revised in the updated guidelines, including a link to the new guideline document and updated meeting guidance before applying. The guidelines now also specify revised eligible and ineligible activities, including pre-implementation investigation, development, testing, and implementation-ready planning.
