How to apply

  • Step 1: Contact the executive director to discuss the request and gather information
    • Reach out to Jeff Bryson, Executive Director.
    • Discuss the proposed request before submitting anything.
  • Step 2: Submit a Letter of Inquiry
    • Submit the online LOI if invited after the initial discussion.
    • Send the inquiry by the stated deadline for the relevant board meeting.
  • Step 3: Submit a full application if invited
    • Complete the full application only if the Foundation requests it after LOI review.
    • Submit through the Foundation’s online grants management software.
  • Step 4: Await the board decision
    • The directors review the proposal at a board meeting.
    • Applicants are advised of the decision after the meeting.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed by the Foundation’s directors at semi-annual board meetings.
  • Directors consider community needs, economic indicators, and other contextual factors.
  • Applicants are notified soon after each board meeting whether the request was approved or declined.
  • There is no appeal process for declined requests.
