Eligibility
Who is eligible?
- Health Authority employees at VCH sites and facilities in the Sunshine Coast Community of Care
- Regular full-time employees with at least one year of service
- Casual or part-time employees with at least 1,950 cumulative hours
Who is not eligible
- Applicants without the required manager approval
- Applicants who do not work at a VCH site or facility in the Sunshine Coast Community of Care
- Applicants who do not meet the minimum service or hour requirement

Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed by the Sechelt Hospital Foundation Education Fund Committee.
- The committee meets quarterly to review requests.
- Applicants are notified within two weeks of committee meetings.
- Funds are released after successful completion or confirmation of attendance, when required.
Additional information
- Applicants may be asked to share their learning with colleagues or the Foundation.
- Successful applicants are expected to remain with the organization for one year after receiving funds.
- Prepayment may be considered upon request.
- Additional funding may be available through VCH bursaries and scholarships.
