Overview
The Community Sport for All Initiative under the Sport Support Program provides funding of up to $2,500,000 to support community sport initiatives that remove barriers and increase participation among under-represented groups, including Black, Indigenous, 2SLGBTQI+, racialized, low-income individuals, persons with a disability, newcomers, and seniors. Eligible activities include administering and distributing project funding to local organizations to deliver programs aligned with the program's inclusion and participation objectives.

Eligibility
- The applicant must be a federally or provincially incorporated not-for-profit organization.
- The organization must be national-level or have the scope and capacity to reach under-represented groups in multiple jurisdictions across all five regions of Canada.
- The applicant must be able to administer and disburse project funding to community organizations.
- The proposed activities must contribute to and align with the objectives of the Community Sport for All Initiative.

- National-level not-for-profit organizations
- Organizations with the capacity to reach under-represented groups in multiple regions of Canada
Who is not eligible
- For-profit companies of any type.
- Organizations that are not federally or provincially incorporated as not-for-profit entities.
- Organizations without the capacity to operate in multiple regions of Canada.

- Central Canada (Quebec and Ontario)
- Prairies region (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta)

How to apply

Confirm eligibility requirements
- Review the eligibility requirements to ensure your organization is a federally or provincially incorporated not-for-profit
- Confirm your organization can reach under-represented groups in at least several regions of Canada
- Ensure the alignment of your project with the objectives of the Canadian Sport Policy and CSAI

Contact relevant national organization
- Identify which funded national-level organization is most relevant to your project and target groups
- Contact the selected national-level organization for guidance on eligibility and application procedures

Obtain guidelines and prepare documents
- Request application guidelines and instructions from the national-level organization
- Gather required documentation and information as specified in the guidelines

Complete application form
- Complete the funding application for your community sport project
- Ensure all sections are filled out accurately according to the provided instructions

Validate application before submission
- Review the completed application for accuracy and completeness
- Make any necessary revisions or gather any outstanding information

Submit application
- Submit your completed application and supporting documents to the selected national-level organization by the stated deadline
- Keep record of submission confirmation for your files

Wait for application results
- Await a response or confirmation from the national-level organization regarding the outcome of your application
- Be prepared to provide additional information if requested
Additional information
- The application intake for this initiative is currently closed.
- National-level organizations have been pre-approved to disburse funding to community organizations for 2024-2026.
- Community organizations can reach out to the approved national-level organizations to inquire about eligibility for sub-funding opportunities.
- Application guidelines and reporting standards are available to assist organizations with public acknowledgement of financial support and compliance.
