  • Provincially or territorially incorporated not-for-profit organizations designated as Canadian Sport Centres

  • Organizations not incorporated at the federal or provincial/territorial level are ineligible.
  • Entities that are not designated members of the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Sport Institute Network (COPSIN) cannot apply.

  • Salary and benefits of coaches and technical directors, in accordance with Sport Canada's funding requirements.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed for eligibility first.
  • Eligible applications are then evaluated against the program criteria.
  • Funding decisions are based on the number and quality of applications received and the funds available.
  • Applicants are notified by letter of any request outcome.
  • A funding agreement is required before payment, and a final report must be submitted at the end of the project.

  • Application packages must include proof of incorporation, audited or board-approved financial statements with auditor's letter, a business or strategic plan, and an operational plan.
  • Guides and resources are available to assist with the application, including funding requirements for coaching and technical leadership salaries, and guidelines for public acknowledgement of financial support.
