- The initiative must make a positive impact in Atlantic Canadian communities.
- The initiative must align with Atlantic Lottery’s values and priorities.
- The initiative should support and promote at least one focus area: culture and heritage, community and economic development, or wellness.

- Applicants are notified on the 1st day of the month following the deadline.
