- Bonus – Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility: /4 for Indigenous, racialized, newcomer, northern, rural, or small urban community, disability, or LGBTQIA2S+ identities; for companies, collectives, and music bands, a minimum 50% of the stakeholders must meet these criteria.
How to apply
- Step 1: Review program guidelines
- Read the general guidelines and the sound recording guidelines.
- Check the assessment criteria and travel policy if travel is included.
- Step 2: Prepare application materials
- Complete the current budget template.
- Prepare the project financing structure.
- Gather budget support documents and a demo submission.
- Complete the travel itinerary if applicable.
- Step 3: Submit in GMS
- Log in to the Grant Management System.
- Upload all required documents using the current templates.
- Submit the final application before the deadline.
- Step 4: Await review and results
- Program staff review the application for completeness and eligibility.
- Results are delivered by email and made available in GMS.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are first reviewed by program staff for eligibility and completeness.
- Eligible applications are either fast-tracked or assessed against published criteria.
- Applicants receive written notification of the decision by email and in GMS.
- Approved applicants receive a Letter of Commitment that must be signed by both parties.
- Funding is released only after all pre-conditions are met and the formal agreement is in place.

- Successful recipients of a Sound Recording Grant must include Creative Saskatchewan’s logo and credit on the manufactured product, and all promotional materials.
- Successful recipients will acknowledge receipt of the grant on their professional social media platforms.
