Eligibility
Who is eligible?
- Current Énergir clients.
- People in the process of becoming Énergir clients.
- Applicants in the commercial, institutional, multihousing with four or more units, or industrial sectors.
Eligible expenses
- Acquisition and installation of a solar thermal collector connected to a natural gas system.
How to apply
- Consult the current participant guide.
- Submit the admissibility request using Formulaire Ia for air projects or Formulaire Ib for water projects, with the RETScreen Expert simulation files and detailed system schematics, before work begins.
- Wait for Énergir's written acceptance or refusal.
- Complete the acquisition and installation of the solar preheating system.
- Submit the payment request using Formulaire IIa or Formulaire IIb with the required supporting documents.
Processing and Agreement
- Énergir analyzes the admissibility request and confirms acceptance or refusal in writing.
- After acceptance, the client has one year to complete the project and must notify Énergir if the deadline cannot be met.
- Énergir analyzes the payment request and may ask for modifications; payment can be suspended until required changes are implemented.
- Énergir may inspect the installation within 12 months after project completion and contacts the person named in the admissibility request to set the inspection date.
- If the inspection shows the solar preheating system was not installed, the client must reimburse the financial assistance immediately.
