Who is eligible?

• Quebec book publishing companies
• Accredited or eligible-to-be-accredited publishers

Who is not eligible

• Self-published book projects
• Projects based on school manuals or other educational materials
• Coloring books and interactive activity books

Eligible expenses

• Translation costs
• Marketing, publicity, press, and promotion costs
• Promotional materials and digital marketing production costs
• Travel, local transport, and accommodation for authors and illustrators
• Interpreter fees, if needed

Ineligible Costs and Activities

• Self-published books
• Educational materials such as school or extracurricular manuals
• Coloring books and books intended for writing, drawing, cutting, or altering
• Any expenses already eligible for another SODEXPORT aid

• Step 1: Prepare the application
  • Gather the required forms and supporting documents.
  • Complete the project and financial information.
• Step 2: Submit through SOD@ccès
  • Log in to the secure online portal.
  • Select program 40-51-05-01.
  • Fill out the form and upload all required documents.
• Step 3: Respect the deadline
  • Submit the application by January 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
• Step 4: Provide closing documents after the project
  • Send the required final report and closing documents within three months after the end of activities.

• Applications are reviewed by SODEC professionals
• External advice may be sought if needed
• Projects are assessed against program criteria and available funds
• Applicants are notified through the SODEC process
• Final payment is released after closing documents are reviewed and approved

• Applications must be submitted in French.
• The program uses the secure SOD@ccès online portal.
• The application must be complete and compliant to be reviewed.
• Final reports and closing documents are required after the project ends.
