- Costs directly related to the project activities and incurred during implementation, when deemed reasonable and essential by CED

- Other costs incurred to carry out the eligible activities
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Construction, renovation or upgrading of infrastructure; development or enhancement of cultural, recreational or sports facilities
- Training-related projects; projects involving local services, such as direct care for individuals
- Projects essentially involving organizing and carrying out a fundraising campaign
- Research projects whose outcome is improved knowledge
- Setting up a fund to finance projects by businesses or organizations; debt refinancing; amortization expenses; purchase of an asset above fair market value; goodwill; non-essential costs not directly related to the project

- The area whose western boundary runs north-south along Papineau Avenue, from Rivière des Prairies to the St. Lawrence River

- Organization’s roots in the area targeted by the call for projects
- Need met by the project and the scope of its economic benefits for local economic development in Montréal’s east end
- Credibility of the approach and stakeholder engagement
- Sustainability of the proposed project, including long-term economic viability
- Readiness to implement the project, organizational financial capacity, and presence of equity, diversity and inclusion factors and positive environmental impacts
How to apply
- Follow the instructions in Preparing to submit a financing application on the CED Client Space.
- Complete the online form and attach the requested documentation.
- Have a formally delegated signing authority complete and submit the application via the CED Client Space by noon EST on November 29, 2024.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are considered compliant only if they are received by CED by the deadline and include all mandatory documentation.
- Projects must align with the objectives of the call for projects and meet the evaluation criteria.
- CED may ask social innovation experts for their insight regarding the projects.
- Selected projects may have access to structured assistance from the Maison de l’innovation sociale during implementation.
