Overview

The Natural Infrastructure Fund supports communities to implement natural and hybrid infrastructure projects delivering key community services. Under the Small Projects Stream, grant agreements can provide up to $250,000 for eligible activities such as flood protection, stormwater management, improved access to nature, biodiversity and habitat enhancement, and climate change mitigation outcomes.

  • Private for-profit organizations applying without collaboration with an eligible public recipient

  • Projects are assessed on whether they deliver one or multiple community services: climate change resilience, increased access to nature, improved environmental quality, enhanced biodiversity and habitat, and/or climate change mitigation.
