This funding provides up to $3,500 to support initiatives in Canada that promote or protect human rights. Supported activities can include any type of initiative, as long as it clearly references one or more human rights such as those in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be an individual, community association, school, or not-for-profit organization.
  • The initiative must promote or protect one or more human rights.
  • The initiative must be clearly linked to and reference a human right (e.g., as enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights).
  • The initiative must take place in Canada.
