- Students in undergraduate programs
- Graduate or post-graduate students with directly related projects
- Applicants with an unfinished or unreported grant in certain OAC programs

- Artist fees
- Travel, accommodation, and meal allowance
- Tuition, registration, mentorship, and workspace or equipment rental
- Small equipment, software, educational materials, and accessibility costs
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Fundraising, contests, and competitions
- Major capital expenditures and major equipment purchases
- Creation projects, marketing, promotion, and business planning
- Ongoing salaries, office rent, business ventures, and accredited college or university programs

Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed through OAC’s peer assessment process
- Applicants are notified by email when results are available in Nova
- Grant notification letters show the status, recommended amount, and any conditions
- Approved applicants must confirm required details in Nova before payment is issued
- Final reports must be completed in Nova after the project
Additional information
- Only one grant can be received once every two years.
- The application form becomes available in Nova about two months before the deadline.
- Applicants receive results about four and a half months after the deadline.
- If awarded, final reporting is required in Nova.
