- Unique, incremental costs that are directly linked to the proposed activities.
- Expenses that are clearly justified and not supported by other sources.

How to apply
- Complete and submit the application online through SHRF’s Research Management System (SHRF RMS).
- Use the Login to Apply link from any page on the SHRF website to access the system.
- Invite each team member by email and have them accept the invitation.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are assessed by an internal committee, which provides a consensus funding recommendation to the CEO.
- The CEO confirms that the review process was followed, that recommendations are within the limit of available funding, and approves funding for successful applications.
- Applicants are notified by email of the funding outcome.
- Successful Principal Applicants sign a Notice of Acceptance before funds are released.
- Successful projects must complete progress and impact reporting, change requests, financial statements of account, a final report at the end date, and a follow-up report one year later confirming submission of at least one eligible follow-on funding application.
