- Producing a calling card film
Documents Needed
- Completed applicant contract
- Title of project, length of project, script, synopsis, director's notes, production plan, budget and financing plan, plus detailed budget expenses on a separate sheet
- A summary including previous production credits and training information
- Personal goals statement
- Chain of title documentation, if applicable, supplemental film or tape material on flashdrive or online link, and confirmation that the film will be produced solely utilizing New Brunswick labour and resources and/or details on non-New Brunswick resources utilized in production

Who is eligible?
- Emerging New Brunswick filmmakers
Who is not eligible
- Applicants currently enrolled in any full-time school or university program
Eligible expenses
- Film stock, processing, and video transfer
- Equipment rental, including camera, sound, lighting, and editing
- Post-production
- Development of an online strategy for the film
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Scripts over ten minutes will automatically be disqualified for jury consideration.

How to apply
- Submit one copy of all required application documents by email to the New Brunswick Filmmakers’ Co-operative at tony@nbfilmcoop.com.
Processing and Agreement
- The New Brunswick Filmmakers’ Co-operative will be the contact to submit update reports and to receive grant drawdowns during the process.
- The recipient can submit their final project and financial and written report at any time over the next year and request the second instalment of their grant.
- All deliverables of the project are due on March 31, 2027, although extensions can be requested, including a copy of the finished film.
Additional information
- The program is an initiative in cooperation with the New Brunswick Filmmakers Co-operative.
- The program is managed by Le Festival international du cinéma francophone en Acadie (FICFA).
- If selected, participants can train with some of New Brunswick’s well-known filmmakers.
- A film could be chosen for a premiere screening at a New Brunswick Film Festival.
