Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Canadian not-for-profit community organizations
  • Canadian registered private businesses active primarily in Canada
  • Canadian chartered educational institutions
  • Canadian citizens and permanent residents
  • Canadian artists, collectives, groups, and institutions

Who is not eligible

  • Municipal, provincial, or other government departments
  • Projects that remain private or family sites or structures
  • Organizations without the required legal or charitable status, where applicable

Eligible expenses

  • Professional fees and salaries related to the project
  • Travel, accommodation, and subsistence costs directly linked to the project
  • Equipment, facility, rental, and supply costs
  • Promotion, marketing, and communications costs
  • Recording, production, distribution, and publication costs

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • General operating and overhead expenses
  • General living allowances
  • Projects for degrees or diplomas
  • Projects benefiting an organization instead of an individual, where not allowed
  • Radio broadcasts, podcasts, print publications, and ongoing education programming, where specifically excluded

How to apply
