- Applicants who do not meet the required years of artistic practice.
- Applicants who do not meet the published criteria or submission deadlines.
Eligible expenses
- Additional funding for an approved educational opportunity within one year of the Emerging Artisan Award.

Processing and Agreement
- Applications and nominations are reviewed by an independent jury of arts professionals, or by the Board of Directors for the Arts Advocacy Award.
