Overview
This program supports partnerships that build skills and capacity in the Indigenous screen sector. Funding of up to $30,000 is available for eligible initiatives such as production training, youth programs, workshops, events, services addressing sector gaps, and innovation strategies.
Activities funded
- Production training programs supporting the career development of at least three Indigenous creators, crew members, or workers
- Youth programs in screen-based media
- Labs, workshops, training initiatives, conferences, festivals, and events
- Services that address sectoral gaps
- Innovation strategies supporting Indigenous screen creators and industry professionals
Examples of admissible projects:

- The applicant must be a company, organization, non-profit, charity, or an Indigenous band council, registered community, or settlement.
- The initiative must contribute to building a robust Indigenous screen sector for creators, crew, and professional workers.
- The application requires a pre-application meeting with an ISO program manager or representative.

How to apply
Step 1: Pre-application meeting
- Meet with an ISO program manager or representative before completing the application.
- Develop a project proposal aligned with Indigenous screen sector training, professional development, or capacity-building objectives.
- Submit the completed application to the program administrator (ISO) following the process provided during the pre-application meeting.
Processing and Agreement
- For Sector Development Partnership Grants, projects are assessed on a rolling basis.
- Applicants can typically expect a notification within 2–3 months of submission.
- Delays may occur due to holiday closure in December.
- For the ISO/Netflix stream, notifications can be expected 3–4 months following the deadline.

- Training, skills building, professional development, and sectoral capacity building are central priorities of the program.
- The program is designed to support partnerships that strengthen the Indigenous screen sector’s momentum and sustainability.
