Who is eligible?
- Registered charities or non-profit organizations in their jurisdictions
- Charitable organizations recognized in their geographical location and cultural context as having a charitable or public interest purpose and operating on a not-for-profit basis
Who is not eligible
- Individuals and individual pursuits
- Service and private clubs and organizations unless it is a Registered Charity and the program is open to everyone
- Sports teams unless it is a Qualified Donee or is part of the Bank’s local support program
- Religious organizations unless the program is open to everyone and does not incorporate religious teachings
- Politically affiliated organizations, private, public and corporate foundations, private schools, public pre-schools, elementary or secondary schools, charitable organizations within a Scotiabank hiatus period, organizations already in a pledge position, organizations with values, policies or practices in conflict with Scotiabank values and Code of Conduct, organizations on a money laundering or terrorist financing list, and organizations that serve as intermediaries, agents, or conduits for third-party organizations

How to apply
- Login to start a new application or update an existing application.
- Submit the application online through the Bank’s website at www.scotiabank.com/community.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed throughout the year.
- Depending on the funding requested, review may include regional as well as national committee review.
- Please allow at least 90 days for a response.
- If the request is a multi-year commitment or a one-year commitment of $25,000 CAD or over, the approved Charitable Organization is required to enter into a gift agreement acceptable to Scotiabank.
