Eligibility
- The project must be a D.R.E.A.M.S. initiative (Drama, Recreation, Extra-Curricular, Arts, Music, or Sports).
- The project must be intended for public elementary school students from JK to Grade 8.
- The application must be submitted by the school principal.
- The application must be supported by a teacher and/or a member of a parent advisory group.
- The school must be a Canadian non-tuition elementary school.

- Canadian public non-tuition elementary schools (JK–8)
Who is not eligible
- Tuition-based (fee-charging) elementary schools
- Non-Canadian elementary schools
- Schools seeking funding for students outside JK–8

How to apply
Step 1: Complete application form
- Fill out the program application form.
- Ensure the application is submitted by the school principal.
- Obtain support from a teacher and/or a member of a parent advisory group.
- Email the completed application to the program administrator.
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed and applicants can expect a response in December.

- Since 2005, the fund has supported over 1,200 D.R.E.A.M.S. projects across Canada.
- Total funding provided is reported as over $3 million.
- Funding decisions are communicated in December.
