  • Organizations that are not registered non-profits, registered charities, or schools, when applying as associate members
  • Members that have not met requirements for SPRA Member’s Initiative Grants in the previous three years

Eligible expenses

  • Promotion and marketing costs
  • Materials, equipment, transportation, registration, mileage, and professional fees
  • Facility rental costs directly related to the recreation program
  • Eligible employment expenses for staff hired specifically for the funded program

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Capital expenses, including construction, renovation, or repair
  • Food and beverage costs such as meals, snacks, banquets, and alcohol
  • Wages for current employees
  • Out-of-country travel, prizes, fireworks, uniforms, and personal items
  • Facility operating costs, electronic devices, and certain training certifications
