Eligibility
Who is eligible?
- Continuous, full-time SAIT students.
- Apprentices enrolled at SAIT.
- Returning graduates taking a full-time credit program or a continuing education course.
- Domestic and international students.
Selection criteria
- Academic achievement, including a predetermined GPA.
- Financial need based on income, expenses, and tuition costs.
- Community involvement, including volunteer work and extracurricular participation.
- Additional donor-specified criteria such as family status, heritage, or chosen profession.
How to apply
- Log into your mySAIT account.
- Select myStudent, then choose Student Awards and Financial Aid under My Finances.
- Click the Apply for Student Awards link.
- Select the current aid year and complete the four required sections.
- Click Submit Application.
Processing and Agreement
- Selected applicants are contacted by phone or email approximately four months after the application deadline.
- If selected, recipients receive instructions on how to collect the funds or prize.
- After the award is processed, students receive an email indicating that payment has been initiated.
- Domestic students receive a second email before the Interac e-transfer link is sent.
- International students receive a second email requesting banking information.
Additional information
- Some awards require additional questions, documentation, and/or essays.
- Applicants may need to submit supporting documentation after the application is submitted.
- Selected recipients are contacted by phone or email approximately four months after the application deadline.
- Payments are issued by email money transfer (e-transfer).
