Who is eligible?
- Property owners of a building or land described in article 22.1.
Who is not eligible
- A single-family home.
Eligible expenses
- Labour costs and materials supplied by the contractor.
- The cost of the permit delivered and the fee imposed by the City for the application under this program.
- Fees for preparing plans and specifications and other expert fees related to the eligible works, up to 10% of the total eligible work cost.
- GST and QST paid by the owner, less any amount recovered from the taxes paid.
- The cost of the warranty plan, when required.
Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Acquisition costs for the property.
- Expropriation costs.
- Costs incurred for preparing and publishing a document at the Bureau de la publicité des droits.

- Complete and compliant requests are processed on a first come, first served basis, subject to available funds.

- Submit the application by email to Habitation@ville.quebec.qc.ca or by mail to Section des subventions aux bâtiments, 160, 76e Rue Est, Québec (Québec) G1H 7H5, with the completed form, all notices of modification to the property value roll issued after the works, and the tax bills.
Processing and Agreement
- The City sends a letter confirming the credit amount.
- The credit is applied as a reduction of the general property tax due, at the tax bill due dates.
