Overview

The program provides up to $7,500 to support first responder safety initiatives along Enbridge rights-of-way. Funding supports safety equipment, professional training, and safety education programs.

Activities funded

  • Implementing initiatives to enhance community safety along Enbridge rights-of-way
  • Delivering professional training initiatives for emergency response personnel
  • Running safety education initiatives for communities or responders
Examples of admissible projects:

Pipeline corridor hazmat readiness equipment and responder training upgrades

Documents Needed

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a first responder or emergency response organization.
  • The organization must be invited to apply (invitation-only program).
  • The proposed initiative must enhance community safety along Enbridge rights-of-way.
  • The organization must have a direct partnership with Enbridge.

  • Organizations located within a 20 kilometre (10-mile) radius of the Enbridge pipeline right of way

  • Closest fit with eligibility criteria
  • High potential impact for community safety
  • Direct partnership with Enbridge

How to apply

Step 1: Confirm invitation status
  • Verify whether your organization has been invited to apply.
Step 2: Request consideration (if not invited)
  • Contact Enbridge to express interest if you have a compelling initiative anticipated to significantly enhance community safety.
Step 3: Submit the application (invited organizations)
  • Complete and submit a full application as requested by Enbridge.
Step 4: Await decision
  • Receive a decision notification by May or by November, depending on the date of application.
