- Pharmacies that are no longer the only pharmacy within a 25 km radius because a new pharmacy has opened nearby.
Eligible geographic areas
- Baie-Sainte-Anne, Belledune, Blackville, Chipman, Clair, Doaktown, Fredericton Junction, Grand Manan, Harvey Station, McAdam, Minto, Nackawic, Neguac, Plaster Rock, Port Elgin, Riverside-Albert, Rogersville, Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska, St. Andrews, Stanley, and Welshpool.
Processing and Agreement
- The rural incentive amount is calculated quarterly by NBPDP.
- Payments are made to qualifying pharmacies through Electronic Funds Transfer following each quarter.
- Any payments made after a new pharmacy opens within 25 km are recovered.
Additional information
- Qualifying pharmacies are identified by the New Brunswick Prescription Drug Program (NBPDP).
- The incentive is calculated quarterly and paid through Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) following each quarter.
- No additional information is required from pharmacies.
- If a new pharmacy opens within 25 km, qualifying pharmacies will no longer be eligible and any payments made after that opening will be recovered.
