Who is eligible?
- A Rural Municipality responsible for rural roads.
- An Urban Municipality responsible for a Clearing the Path Corridor.
- A First Nation responsible for a Clearing the Path Corridor.
How to apply
- Submit separate completed application forms for each proposed corridor.
- Submit Statutory Declarations through the online form.
Processing and Agreement
- A Program Administrator reviews the Statutory Declaration for accuracy and claim eligibility, and the Director, Capacity Building & Programs verifies and approves the Incremental Maintenance form.
- If a Statutory Declaration is not submitted within the fiscal year, all corridors within the RM are reallocated.

To be eligible for the SARM — Rural Integrated Roads for Growth (RIRG) — Clearing the Path program, you must:
The applicant must be a Rural Municipality, Urban Municipality, or First Nation with jurisdiction of roadways.
The roadway must be under the Road Authority’s jurisdiction and control, on a registered road alignment, and carry primary weight traffic for at least nine (9) months per year.
The corridor must connect primary weight roadways or a primary weight roadway to a significant economic generator or economic area, and meet the applicable WTC and proximity rules.
