How to apply
- For programs that are exclusively within an individual province, send your request to the applicable Legion Provincial Executive Director.
- For national programs requiring preauthorization to solicit Provincial Command funding, send your request to the Poppy & Remembrance Committee through info@legion.ca.
- For national programs seeking national funding, send your request to the Poppy & Remembrance Committee through info@legion.ca.
Processing and Agreement
- The Legion will acknowledge receipt of applications and may solicit additional information.
- Only applications deemed complete will be assessed.
- The Legion aims to notify applicants in writing of its funding decision within 12 weeks of the application deadline, provided that an application is deemed complete.
- Recipients must adhere to the guidelines and the conditions set out in the funding agreement.
- A final report must be submitted at the conclusion of the project.
- The contribution payment will be paid as a lump sum payment in accordance with a financial statement and a final activity report upon completion of the project.
Additional information
- Poppy Funds are disbursed at the national, provincial and branch levels of the Legion, depending on where the organization operates.
- For nationally funded programs, requests are submitted to the Poppy & Remembrance Committee at info@legion.ca.
- Applications should be submitted at least three (3) months before the start date of the proposed project to allow for processing and notification of funding.
- Only applications deemed complete will be assessed.
