- Students who already hold another Mitacs award at the same time

How to apply
- Step 1: Submit the online application through the RISE Germany portal
- Complete the application before the deadline
- Use the RISE Germany application portal
- Step 2: Application review and selection
- Applications are reviewed by DAAD
- Selected candidates are identified for the next stage
- Step 3: Receive Mitacs outcome and instructions
- Successful students receive an Outcome Letter
- Follow the next-step instructions provided by Mitacs
- Step 4: Submit required Mitacs forms
- Send the Student Code of Conduct and Ethics Form
- Send the International Pre-Departure Form
- Provide any supplementary documents, if needed
- Step 5: Receive final approval and travel
- Final Award Letter is issued after approval
- Travel to Germany and complete the research project
Processing and Agreement
- Applications are reviewed by an interdisciplinary team
- Successful candidates are selected by DAAD
- Mitacs issues an Outcome Letter and then a final Award Letter
- Funding is released only after required forms are received
- Selected students complete the internship in Germany and submit an exit survey

- Results are announced in Spring 2026.
- Participants must complete a post-project exit survey.
