Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Canadian elementary school educators
  • Canadian secondary school educators
  • Home economics, human ecology, or family studies teachers

Who is not eligible

  • Graduate student research applications under this fund.
  • School-based activities that would normally be funded by a school.
  • Personal travel to conferences, workshops, or other professional development.

Eligible expenses

  • Food items used for educational, program, or research purposes.
  • Guest speaker travel costs, such as mileage or air fare.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • Capital assets, including computers, recording devices, and sewing machines.
  • Personal travel to conferences, workshops, or other professional development.
  • School-based activities that would normally be funded by a school.
  • Food costs for hospitality, such as breaks or conference meals.
