This program supports translational regenerative medicine research with funding up to $750,000. Eligible activities span proof-of-principle experiments, knowledge translation, clinical translation research, early-stage clinical trials, and academic–biotech partnerships.

Activities funded

  • Proof-of-principle experiments, including novel therapeutic or technical approach development.
  • Knowledge creation and translation of regenerative medicine research for targeted stakeholders and/or users.
  • Multi-disciplinary research moving toward the clinic within five years.
  • Research addressing key questions associated with an ongoing clinical trial.
  • Early-stage clinical trial projects with high translational potential.
