  • Indigenous collectives (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit) in British Columbia

  • Applicants that are not Indigenous communities, collectives, or organizations (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit)
  • Applicants that are not based in British Columbia

Eligible expenses

  • Research-Development Assistant (RDA) stipends
  • Venue rental
  • Travel costs
  • Cash reimbursements to honour Elders/Knowledge Holders and community participants (in a method acceptable to those being reimbursed)
  • Culturally relevant promotional and gifting items (e.g., cedar, blankets, food) and feasting

  • Eight (8) awards are offered each year.
  • Applicants can access application planning support through an Indigenous Research Liaison.
