How to apply

  • Step 1: Optional inquiry
    • Send an email before applying.
    • Share a brief letter of inquiry or any specific questions.
  • Step 2: Access the application portal
    • Apply when the portal opens for the relevant round.
    • Complete the online grant application.
  • Step 3: Provide additional materials if requested
    • Submit written responses and supporting documents if the application moves to a second stage.
    • Participate in conversations with Inspirit staff if asked.

Processing and Agreement

  • Applications are reviewed through the grant portal during the open rounds.
  • Decisions are communicated by the end of June for Round 1 and by the end of November for Round 2.
  • Some applications may move to a second stage with written responses, additional documents, and conversations with staff.
  • Organizational grants require approval from Inspirit’s full Board of Directors.

Additional information

  • All grant proposals must fit at least one of Inspirit’s priority areas.
  • Priority is given to organizations led or deeply shaped by Indigenous, Muslim, Black, and racialized voices.
  • Applications may require a second stage for some grants, with written responses and conversations with staff.
