Overview

The regional cultural project grants provide financial support up to a maximum of $10,000 to arts and culture organizations in Metro Vancouver. The grants aim to assist organizations in project creation, audience development, dissemination, research, and capacity building, primarily supporting non-profit entities with a stable history of regional programming.

Activities funded

Development and implementation of arts creation, performance, dissemination, audience engagement activities, cultural research and organizational capacity building.
Examples of admissible projects:

Developing intergenerational theatre workshops to engage diverse audiences

Organization registration documents, project support letter, detailed project description, budget estimates, letters of other funding sources included.

Eligibility

Promote arts and culture as primary purpose, produce arts and culture regularly in Metro Vancouver, be a registered non-profit, demonstrate operational stability, seek funding for projects appealing to multiple jurisdictions.

Who is eligible?

Non-profit arts and culture organizations registered in Metro Vancouver with a history of regular programming.

Who is not eligible

Organizations lacking non-profit status, not primarily focused on arts and culture, or operating outside Metro Vancouver region.

Eligible expenses

Production and creation costs, audience development, dissemination activities, research, staff and administrative capacity building.

Ineligible Costs and Activities

Expenses related to activities outside arts and culture promotion, activities not involving organizations with stable operational history, costs unrelated to regional outreach, and activities not covered under approved project plans.

Eligible geographic areas

Metro Vancouver region.

The project's alignment with arts and culture promotion; potential community impact; organizational stability and capacity; diversity of funding sources; and experience of project staff.

Processing and Agreement
