Eligibility

Who is eligible?

  • Yukon associations with Whitehorse-based membership and projects
  • Not-for-profit community organizations

Who is not eligible

  • Organizations not in good standing with the City of Whitehorse
  • Groups owing money or obligations to the City
  • Organizations with overdue accountability reporting
  • Projects outside the City of Whitehorse

Eligible expenses

  • New equipment purchases for the project
  • Infrastructure development, renovation, or retrofitting
  • Materials and supplies
  • Staff training, including instructors, travel, and training venue costs
  • Strategic or business planning costs

Ineligible Costs and Activities

  • City facility fees
  • Projects on personal land
  • Fundraising events
  • Direct support to individual or elite athletes
  • Office furniture, computers, software, costumes, uniforms, trophies, medals, and similar items that do not remain with the organization
