Eligibility

  • The company must have its head office located within the territory of the MRC de La Vallée-du-Richelieu (MRCVR).
  • The company must carry out its commercialization activities within the MRCVR territory.
  • The company must have been operating for more than 24 months.
  • The company must be registered with the Registraire des entreprises du Québec (REQ) and hold an operation certificate.
  • The company must provide a minimum cash contribution of 20% of the project cost.

Who is eligible?

  • Small and medium-sized private enterprises
  • Social economy enterprises (including cooperatives and non-profits with commercial activities)
  • Enterprises with a head office and commercial activities located on the territory of the Vallée-du-Richelieu RCM (MRCVR)

Who is not eligible

  • State-owned companies or entities controlled directly or indirectly by any level of government (municipal, provincial, or federal), a municipal entity, or a business majority-owned by a state-owned company.
  • Companies registered in the Register of Enterprises Ineligible for Public Contracts (RENA).
  • Organizations in a situation of bankruptcy or insolvency.
  • Businesses that have not respected previous financial aid obligations with the Quebec government or the Regional County Municipality (MRC) in the past two years.
  • Applicants involved in activities or services that could compromise the integrity or probity of the Quebec government, including through association.

Eligible expenses

  • Additional working capital requirements directly necessary for the realization of the project, limited to two years and based on justified and reasonable expenses.
  • Capital expenditures directly related to the project, such as the acquisition of technologies, land, buildings, equipment, machinery, and vehicles, as well as construction, expansion, renovation, and improvement of land and premises.
  • Professional fees for preliminary activities necessary before the realization of the project, such as feasibility analysis, external audits, or impact studies.
  • Professional fees directly related to implementing the project, including technology, equipment, and machinery deployment, and acquisition, construction, renovation, and improvement of land and premises.
  • Expenses for acquiring business ownership (voting shares or company assets) and professional fees directly tied to business acquisition and management transition (only for entrepreneurial succession projects).
