Who is eligible?
- Young entrepreneurs aged 18 to 39.
- Black entrepreneurs aged 18 to 39.
- Indigenous entrepreneurs aged 18 to 39.
- Pre-launch or part-time businesses.
- Co-operatives and non-profit organizations with a revenue-generating model.
Who is not eligible
- Businesses in alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, gambling, gaming, or firearms.
- Full-time businesses operating before July 1, 2025.
- Applicants who do not meet the age requirement of 18 to 39.
Eligible expenses
- Startup costs, such as website development, supplies, marketing, and inventory.

- Repayment of existing debt.
- Businesses operating in alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, gambling, gaming, or firearms sectors.
- Full-time businesses operating before July 1, 2025.

- Applications are reviewed and scored by a diverse panel of RBC business experts.
- Selection is based on the merit and strength of the business plan and cash flow.
- The best business plans are selected for the awards.
- Applications submitted in the wrong template are not reviewed.
