Québec-Louisiana Cooperation Call for Projects

• Completed application form

Who is eligible?

• Quebec-based organizations in culture and heritage
• Organizations with a major tourism mandate
• Applicants represented by a Canadian citizen or permanent resident living in Quebec

Eligible expenses

• Round-trip economy travel between Quebec and Louisiana
• Local transport in Quebec and Louisiana
• Daily travel allowances for missions, up to seven days
• Production, creation, organization, promotion, publication, and distribution costs for eligible cultural activities
• Equipment and venue rental costs

Ineligible Costs and Activities

• Operating costs of an organization
• Staff salaries
• Costs already funded by another government program for the same expense
• First-class travel and excess baggage fees
• Travel expenses and per diems for stays outside Louisiana for Quebec participants, or outside Quebec for Louisiana participants

• Innovative nature of the project
• Quality of the funding request and financial structure
• Feasibility of the timeline and work plan

• Step 1: Prepare the project file
  • Define the bilateral project and its Quebec and Louisiana partners.
  • Prepare a complete application with the required budget information.
  • Include information on any other public or Quebec-based financial assistance already received or currently received.
• Step 2: Submit the application
  • File the application as instructed by the program.
  • Ensure the dossier is complete at the time of submission.
• Step 3: Review and decision
  • The ministry reviews the application with partner organizations.
  • The ministry makes the final selection and determines the amount awarded.
• Step 4: Receive payment and report
  • The first payment is made upon project selection.
  • Submit the financial and narrative reports to obtain the second payment.

• Projects are reviewed by the Ministry of International Relations and La Francophonie with partner organizations.
• The ministry keeps final responsibility for selecting projects and determining the amounts awarded.
• Applicants may need to share submitted information with the program partners.
• Approved projects require financial and narrative reporting to receive the second payment.

• Only one project per organization can be funded.
• The application must be complete at the time of submission.
• Applicants must indicate any other public or Quebec-based financial assistance already received or currently being received.
