Overview
This program provides up to $2,000 to support animal welfare lectures at Canadian universities. Funding helps cover guest speaker travel or honorariums and some promotion costs for public-facing events.
Activities funded
- Hosting a university lecture on animal welfare promoted to the general public and students
Examples of admissible projects:

Eligibility
- The applicant must be a Canadian university and host faculty member(s).
- The proposed lecture must relate to animal welfare.
- The lecture must be promoted to the general public and to students.
- The proposal must outline the lecture topic, speakers, timing, promotion approach, venue, and expected attendance.

How to apply
Step 1: Prepare lecture proposal
- Draft a detailed email or 1–2 page plan for the lecture.
- Include the lecture topic.
- Identify possible guest speakers.
- Specify timing and proposed date/period.
- Provide a promotion and marketing plan (including promotion to the general public and students).
- Identify the venue.
- Estimate expected attendance.
- Send the proposal by email to the program administrator.
- Submit by March 1.
- Expect a funding decision announcement by the end of April.
