Overview

This program provides up to $10,000 in partial funding for a specific arts project. It supports Winnipeg-based arts organizations and eligible collectives creating, producing, or presenting arts activities within 18 months of notification.

Activities funded

  • Creation, production, or presentation of performing arts projects
  • Creation, production, or presentation of visual arts projects
  • Creation, production, or presentation of literary arts projects
  • Creation, production, or presentation of film, video, or media arts projects
  • Special, one-time artistic initiatives delivered as a defined project

Documents Needed

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a Winnipeg arts organization or collective with a primary mandate in arts creation, production, or presentation.
  • The applicant must be based and active in Winnipeg.
  • The project must be a specific, one-time or project-based initiative with potential artistic merit and civic impact.
  • The project must be planned to take place within 18 months of the notification date.

  • Established arts organizations that work on a project basis
  • Arts organizations undertaking a special, one-time initiative
  • Arts collectives or unincorporated groups (subject to special criteria)
  • Organizations active in performing, visual, literary, film, video, or media arts

  • Organizations that receive other grants or funds from the City of Winnipeg or any of its agencies
