  • Operating deficits, promotional costs, computer equipment, rolling stock, and soil decontamination

How to apply

  • Step 1: Prepare the application
    • Complete the form for the chosen stream.
    • Prepare the activity schedule and budget planning file.
    • Gather the required supporting documents for the selected stream.
  • Step 2: Submit the application
    • Send the complete application package through the program submission process.
    • Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
  • Step 3: Review and approval
    • The Ministry reviews eligibility and evaluates the project.
    • If selected, a confirmation letter and funding agreement are issued.

Processing and Agreement

  • The Ministry first checks the applicant’s and project’s eligibility.
  • Eligible applications are assessed and prioritized against selection criteria.
  • The Minister decides which projects are selected and sends a confirmation letter.
  • A funding agreement is signed, and for Stream 2 a works agreement is also required.
  • Reports and financial documents are reviewed before later payments are released.

  • The program has two funding streams: preliminary studies and restoration or creation projects.
  • Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
  • The current regulatory framework is extended until March 31, 2027.
  • Projects must be completed by March 31, 2030.
