Ineligible Costs and Activities
- Projects that are mandatory under a law, regulation, or decree
- Projects mainly focused on wildlife habitat, research, or knowledge acquisition
- Forest management reforestation, artificial water basins, or retention ponds
- Ecosystem enhancement, rehabilitation, or invasive species control as the main purpose
- Operating deficits, promotional costs, computer equipment, rolling stock, and soil decontamination

Processing and Agreement
- The Ministry first checks the applicant’s and project’s eligibility.
- Eligible applications are assessed and prioritized against selection criteria.
- The Minister decides which projects are selected and sends a confirmation letter.
- A funding agreement is signed, and for Stream 2 a works agreement is also required.
- Reports and financial documents are reviewed before later payments are released.
